* Meet Andy

Andrew J. Saczynski (known by family and friends as “Andy”) has lived in Florida since the age of 7. After graduating from Niceville High School in 1995, he briefly attended a local college on a fine arts scholarship, where he won several awards. While his time spent in a classroom was beneficial, most of his talent has been developed through independent study.

The majority of Andy’s work can be classified as folk art. He finds his artistic inspiration through music and in Florida’s architecture, landscape, and wildlife. He enjoys activities such as surfing and fishing. He and his family make their home in Destin.

Andy has been a featured artist at Via Colori three times: 1998, 1999, and 2006. Via Colori is an Italian street painting festival held annually in Seaside, Florida. Funds raised from this event benefit the Seaside Neighborhood School. In addition to Via Colori, Andy has also donated his artwork to Shoreline Church (Destin) , HarborWalk Marina (Destin), and the American Heart Association (Jacksonville).

From March 5-26, 2005, Andy and fellow artist Arix Zalace conjoined to display art at Quincy, an eclectic art supply store. The exhibition, “Zalace & Saczynski – Two Perspectives,” held at 122 Quincy Circle in Seaside, Florida, opened with a private, invitation-only party on the eve of March 5. The three-week viewing was open to the public and the majority of artwork was available for sale.

In January 2007, Andy started a landscaping company. This business lets him create, design, and express himself artistically using nature as his canvas.

On September 26, 2009, Andy had a tent in the first annual Beaux Arts Ball and Artist Market at Grand Boulevard in Sandestin.
